Wow its been a while since i last blogged and that was before i had left for my Canada World Youth Journey. So far i have traveled to Peterborough, Ontario and went to a Volunteer Orientation camp with 8 other youth from around Canada and a group of 9 volunteers from Tanzania!
A lot has happened in the last 2 weeks its been crazy!
Everyone is really cool and nice.
I am teamed up with a counterpart volunteer from Tanzania, his name is Nyeura Boaz. He is 24 and is a really funny, active, outgoing guy. He loves to sing and dance and to share his countrys culture with me.

I have been trying really hard to practice my swahili, even though we are not in Tanzania til December. I think Swahili is a beautiful language and love to communicate with the Tanzanian group.

Canada World Youth

It's about four more days before I depart. I'm nervous. I don't know who's going to be in my group. Committing to another six months can feel like a long time. But I feel ready.

I'm excited to travel again, to live in a new place. Peterburough, Ontario is my first destination. Three months there, and then in December I leave for Tanzania.
